I’m trying to use my Andor 1 with a short-throw LG projector but only get a grey screen. The projector does receive a signal, but there’s no test screen: the only thing that happens is that the border of the grey screen seems so change subtly a second or two after turning the player on, presumably when the video file starts playing. I’m using the included HDMI cable and memory stick (FAT), and the video files are encoded as specified in the manual. Any ideas?
First, some basic troubleshooting: Have you already tested that it works with the same files and same HDMI cable when connected to a TV or monitor that takes HDMI?
Yes, it works fine with the same files, cable and memory stick on a Sony TV. Just some minor hiccups where the playback started over before reaching the end of the file. Also, I initially had some trouble with the files, but a quick re-encoding did the trick. Still greyed out on the projector, though.
Well I’m unfortunately out of ideas. I have no experience with the Andor1 or projectors, sorry. Hopefully someone else can help further now that basic test is out of the way. (Also, if you haven’t thought of it already, you can email support@lzxindustries.net for official support.)
