Greetings, I’ve recently been lucky enough to acquire an LZX based system, roughly equivalent to the Double Vision 168. I’m not new to video synths, and ive been using Vidiot and other standalone synths for years. However, this system is a big step step up in terms of complexity. Im wondering where I can find manuals for LZX modules? There’s a stickied link regarding a documentation website, but I’m not finding anything there. I’ve read the getting started section and I’m fine with all of that, but I want to dig deeper. I’m a RTFM kind of guy. Can anyone point me towards some resources? Thanks and happy to be joining the crew.
I would recommend the series of 3 patches videos made by Johnny Woods that are on the LZX YouTube channel. Additionally, I recommend the Day One stream videos that Nick Ciontea made. Yes, there are manuals, there is a website link to the LZX GitHub page, however there is inconsistency in their depth. Some manuals are essentially listed on the product page. This is why I recommend the videos. They do a better job of illustrating use cases of each module, as well as how to integrate them into the workflow of a larger system.
Welcome to the community!
Documentation is an ongoing work in progress. The Getting Started guide is the only thing we have at the moment, and of course the mentioned LZX 3 Patches videos are essential.
We are in the process of expanding the individual product pages on the LZX site into a more holistic manual. In the meantime, feel free to start new threads here on the community forum about individual modules that have not yet been sufficiently discussed. This forum often acts as an interactive crowd-sourced user manual. If you have questions, we have answers.
