Video synthesis books

Hello All
Im new here and new to video synthesis. I am looking to purchase the double vision, super excited. However, i was wondering if there are any good books on the subject for beginners to help me understand whats going on. I have been using the erogenous tones structure and creating some nice stuff but looking to up my game
All help is appreciated

Welcome to community. I appreciate your inclination to study up.
Here is a good reading list to start with:

There is some overlap in this post, but it could be useful too:

In addition to books, I highly recommend the LZX youtube channel, if you haven’t already perused it: https://www.youtube.com/@lzxindustries

For me, reading only got me so far in understanding modular video synthesis. I also needed to see videos of how the modules worked (and worked together) to really understand it. A lot of LZX modules are much more building-block-like than something digital-based like the Erogenous Tones Structure, and the videos really helped me understand how they work together with other modules to do great things. Especially check out the ā€œ3 Patchesā€ series of videos on the LZX channel, even for modules you don’t own (or aren’t planning on owning), they can still really open your eyes about patching techniques in general.
