Videomancer bug

I just got my Videomancer plugged in and noticed there was nothing modulating the output despite adding some LFOs to some of the parameters. There didn’t seem to be anything loaded in any of the slots. for example the display shows P1: with nothing.
I tried saving the state then loading it and the labels appeared and the input from my camera started to be modulated. I don’t remember what they are as they have disappeared again and I can’t get them back.

Also I wasn’t getting any color output from the Y/CVBS output. Maybe that’s expected? Looking forward to the manual :slight_smile:

I tried updating to the 0.1.7 firmware but no luck. I wasn’t sure if this or the GitHub repo issues was a better place for a bug report.

OK I was able to mess with it a bit more and I see at least one of my issues:

In Passthrough mode, my input/output didn’t seem to be working after a restart

To fix this, I toggled the output mode from Analogue to HDMI and back and now I get my camera input in color as expected.

And the reason all parameters were blank was because the Passthrough program was selected and there was no signal detected.
Once I changed the program to something else I was able to see the named parameters and adjust them as expected.

So maybe one actual bug regarding the input needing to be toggled, but otherwise it was user error and lack of docs.

Now that I understand the Passthrough vs other programs, it makes a lot more sense.
