Videomancer: firmware 0.1.x vs 1.x
Manual ≠ LCD? Identify the track first.
Version: Read the string on the boot splash after power-on. On 1.x, LZX Connect also shows it on the device card. There is no About submenu on the 1.x SYSTEM menu.
0.1.8 (legacy stable; still ships on some units): ~8 built-in programs, no LZX Connect, no Standalone route mode. 0.1.8 → 1.x: manual BOOT + .uf2 only — LZX Connect cannot perform this jump. Close Connect before BOOT mode. Hold rear BOOT, power on, copy .uf2 to the RPI-RP2 drive (downloads).
1.0.x (pre-release 1.0.0-rc.x on downloads): full program library, Vid Route Mode (HDMI In, Analog In, Dual In, Standalone), LZX Connect. 1.x → newer 1.x: Connect (enable Show pre-release firmware) or the same BOOT + .uf2 path.
microSD is for .vmprog programs on 1.x, not for flashing firmware.
