We have a release candidate for the TBC2 firmware, finally, and are focused on testing. There will probably be some bugs to find and fix this week before we’re shipping any hardware – but this is a big milestone, as we’re now just caulking seams and tightening bolts.
Nothing too exciting but here are some more OLED snapshots.
It’s not on the official feature list, but it’s been part of the firmware for a while. TBC2’s firmware is a modular engine, so the Ramp Gen is there to represent a software generated graphics component. It is simple, it allows you to define a ramp shape, phase, and curve for each of the RGB output jacks.
We’re up to TBC2 1.0rc4 as of today, which is our first “shipping unless we can break it” version. We’ll be doing more testing tomorrow, but for the first night in a few years I will be able to sleep on an empty software issues list.
